The MSKSC ACP Grand Round held on 13 Feb 2018 was hosted by a panel consisting of presenters, Dr. Joyce Tie and Dr. Joel Lim, and moderators, Dr. Muntasir M Choudhury and Dr. Darryl Chew, from the Department of Hand Surgery.

Grand Rounds – David Song: The business of surgery (PRAS)

On 18 Apr 2018, MSKSC ACP had invited Dr David H. Song (MD, MBA), a Professor of Plastic Surgery from Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, as a speaker for the ACP Grand Round. Dr Song is renowned in the field of plastic surgery particularly for his pioneering work in microsurgery, chest wall reconstruction techniques, breast reconstructive surgery and oncoplastic surgery. The session represented a valuable opportunity for the audience to gain some insights and knowledge in his area of expertise.

Grand Rounds – Michael Grant: Facial Trauma

On 28 Aug 2018, MSKSC ACP had invited Prof Michael P. Grant of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center of the University of Maryland School Of Medicine, as a speaker for the Grand Round. Prof Grant specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid, orbital and facial surgery. He is also board-certified in both ophthalmology and plastic surgery. He was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society, upon graduation from Case Western University School of Medicine where he received his MD and PhD degrees. The topic of his talk was on facial trauma. The audience was given a glimpse into the fascinating work in his area of expertise.

Visiting Expert – Dr. Oh Tae Suk

On 1 & 2 Mar 2018, MSKSC ACP had invited Prof. Oh Tae Suk (M.D., Ph.D.); Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Plastic Surgery in Asan Medical Center, University of Ulsan to share his knowledge and expertise. His specialty is in head and neck & facial nerve reconstruction, cleft palate, facial bone fracture and tumour. Prof Oh Tae Suk is also a Deputy with the Korean Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association (KCPCA) Scientific Committee. He gave an insightful talk on facial reanimation, in particular, facial bone reconstruction using 3D printing and cleft lip/palate repair on the respective days.
