Ferooz Sekandarpoor is a Simulation Technology Specialist at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Faculty of Medicine in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology and Computer Science and has a strong background in medical simulation technology, information technology, and audio-visual systems. Ferooz’s expertise supports the development and operation of high-fidelity simulation environments for healthcare education worldwide. 

In addition to his role at UBC, Ferooz served as the President of the Gathering of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists (SimGHOSTS). During his presidency, he led global initiatives that expanded SimGHOSTS to countries such as Saudi Arabia, the USA, Argentina, and Singapore through collaboration with various partners, all aimed at enhancing simulation-based education. He is also an active member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and has contributed to the field as a published author, particularly focusing on simulation center development design.
