This practical hands-on workshop is for healthcare professionals who are interested in learning more about clinical debriefing in a fast-paced but safe clinical environment. Tools and techniques in carrying out debriefing after a clinical encounter whilst ensuring psychological safety of the healthcare team will also be introduced.


Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to: 

  1. Describe when clinical debriefing should be done 
  2. Identify the key elements and tools used in clinical debriefing 
  3. Explain the elements of psychological safety
  4. Reflect on practice of good debrief
  5. Discuss the barriers that may occur during clinical debriefing and their respective solutions
