Prof Dinker Ramananda Pai

Prof Dinker Pai is the Professor of Surgery and Director of the Simulation Centre at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute, Puducherry, India. He is a general surgeon by training, and has been actively involved in simulation-based healthcare education for the last 15 years.

Prof Dinker obtained his Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) certification from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, USA in 2016, and is also a  Certified TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer for Team Training for Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), USA. He is the President of the Pan Asia Simulation Society in Healthcare,  Founder-Secretary as well as a life member of the Singapore Society for Healthcare Simulation and the Malaysian Society for Simulation in Healthcare and Board member for PediSTARS simulation society, India.

Dr Dinker a Senior Editor for the International Journal of Healthcare Simulation-Advances in Theory and Practice and has written several chapters as well as published more than 50 articles on simulation education and surgery in journals and textbooks. Not only is he the Chairperson of Kerala University of Health Sciences' technical and advisory committees for simulation, Dr Dinker is also the Visiting Consultant for Simulation at many medical colleges in India and abroad. He is also the only South Asian to be elected as a Fellow of the prestigious Academy of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare in 2022.
