Dr Lie Sui An

Dr Lie Sui An is a Consultant with the Department of Surgical Intensive Care, Singapore General Hospital (SGH). He is concurrently serving as Deputy Head, Department of Intensive Care Medicine, Sengkang General Hospital (SKH). Dr Lie obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2007 and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) since 2013. He successfully completed his Anaesthesiology Residency training with SingHealth in 2016, before going on to obtain his dual specialist accreditation in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine in 2017 and 2018 respectively. During his Residency training, Dr Lie was nominated for the Singapore Chief Residency Programme (SCRP) organised by the Healthcare Leadership College under Ministry of Health (MOH), and served as Anaesthesiology Chief Resident from 2015 to 2016. Dr Lie is passionate about medical education and mentoring of both undergraduate students and postgraduate Residents. He is a strong advocate for the use of healthcare simulation in reducing latent safety threats and enhancing systemic operational preparedness, particularly in situ simulation, which was especially vital during the COVID-19 pandemic.
