Assoc Prof Harry Wu
Associate Professor, Dept of Medical Humanities & Social Medicine, National Cheng Kung University 

Trained first as a physician then a historian, Harry Yi-Jui Wu graduated from Chung Shan Medical University (Taiwan) and the University of Oxford (United Kingdom) with a DPhil in Modern History. Before taking up his current position as Associate Professor at the Cross College Elite Program and Department of Medical Humanities & Social Medicine, National Cheng Kung University, he taught at Nanyang Technology University and The University of Hong Kong. Apart from designing medical humanities curricula, his research includes the history of psychiatry, the history of medical education and the history of health diplomacy. He is currently Co-Editor of Social History of Medicine. His first academic monograph, Mad by the Millions: Mental Disorders and the Early Years of the World Health Organization, was published in 2021 by MIT Press.
