Dr Peter Chow is a Senior Consultant in Geriatric Medicine in Changi General Hospital, Singapore. After reading medicine in Hong Kong, he came to Singapore in 2006 and joined the specialist training. He focuses in dementia care. After a year of study on Medical Law and Ethics in the University of Edinburgh, he has been involved in several roles in this area: the Chair of the Clinical Ethics Committee in CGH, the Deputy Academic Advisor in Centre of Medical Ethics and Professionalism in Singapore Medical Association and the Co-chair in the MOH Committee for drafting a guideline for using National Electronic Health Record. He facilitates clinical ethics dilemma, teaches clinicians on medical law and ethics and supports policy in national level. 

Being into poetry, he read Medical Humanities in Birkbeck, University of London to enrich the framework for navigating bioethical dilemma. Recently, he joined the SingHealth Duke-NUS Medical Humanities Institute as a Co-lead in Bioethics program. SDMHI aims to promote medical humanities, narrative medicine and bioethics in healthcare practice in Singapore by education, research and policy through regional and international collaboration.
