Ms Chen Yingxuan
Freelance Artist, Singapore

Yingxuan is an artist and a professional working at the intersections of arts with health and community. 

As a theatre and film practitioner since 2013, she has directed for Esplanade, Checkpoint Theatre, and The Singapore International Festival of Arts, among other platforms, and her screenwriting has been recognised at various international festivals. She also co-wrote a telemovie for Toggle. Her work is characterised by gentleness, humour, and a keen interest in human connection.

Formerly Assistant Director (Theatre) at the National Arts Council, Yingxuan now manages a portfolio career. She is Head of Programmes and Strategy and a founding member of Shaw Heritage Arts and Wellbeing (SHAW) Studios, a non-profit uplifting mental wellbeing through the arts. She also serves as Creative Producer for the upcoming Arts and Disability Forum by the National Arts Council and Art:Dis. 

Yingxuan collaborates with SingHealth and Duke NUS Medical School in the areas of medical education, faculty development, and staff engagement. She has spoken at events such as the Performance and Health Symposium by the National University of Singapore and LASALLE College of the Arts, and the Medical Humanities Seminar by Nanyang Technological University.
