Research Trials

  • The effect of local endometrial injury on women with repeated implantation failure in women undergoing in-vitro fertilization - KKHHEF fund
  • The role of endometrial stem cells in women with recurrent implantation failure - National Medical Research Council Seed fund Grant
  • Lifestyle interventions to prevent postpartum type 2 diabetes in Asian women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus
  • Integrated glycemic profiling of treatment responses for gestational diabetes mellitus

Potential Future Direction of Research

  1. Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) – Evaluating the potential effectiveness of lifestyle interventions on reducing the rate of conversion from gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) to type 2 diabetes mellitus among Singaporean women can provide cost-effectiveness and predictive data to implement nationwide interventions and improve the accessibility of disease self-management in women.
  2. Recurrent Implantation Failure (RIF) – Elucidating the mechanisms governing improved implantation rates after local endometrial injury; investigating the immune milieu and the role of endometrial stem cells in sub-fertile women undergoing in-vitro fertilization increases the possibility of devising approaches to enhance fertility outcomes which is of national significance.
