This CED workshop shares concepts of various debriefing models that participants can utilise in clinical events debriefing. The models are established guided reflection tools utilised by the simulation based education domain, and are proven to be effective in guiding healthcare learners towards identifying gaps for further improvements. The tools are plus/delta, directive feedback, advocacy inquiry and Socratic questioning techniques. Participants will also be introduced to a standardised CED template that guides new CED debriefers to conduct and record key debriefing points.
Following concept learning, participants will have guided practices to apply the debriefing tools through role plays.
