Simulation Scenario Design for Interprofessional Education

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and collaborate in small groups as they explore various aspects of scenario design for interprofessional education (IPE) such as:

  1. Challenges faced when conducting simulation-based education for an interprofessional group of learners. 
  2. Best practices and recommendations when planning simulation-based training for interprofessional education.
  3. Applying best practices to the scenario design for a simulation-based training for interprofessional education. 

By the end of this interactive workshop, participants will have a better understanding of the challenges faced as well as identify practical learning activities that they can incorporate into scenario design for their teaching.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe and explain the challenges when conducting simulation-based education for IPE
  2. Apply best practices and recommendations when designing a scenario for a simulation-based training for IPE
