Prof Chan is a Clinician-Scientist working in the field of Reproductive Medicine encompassing a broad area of research. His laboratory focuses on the discovery and characterization of perinatal stem cells, and developing them for both fetal and post-natal transplantation strategies. His lab is also developing a stem cell model for the study of endometriosis in the field of reproductive medicine.
He is currently the Vice Chairman of Research in OBGYN ACP, and have mentored 15 PhD students, 6 post-doctoral fellows, 17 other bachelor degree and research attachment students, amassing a total of 210 peer reviewed journal papers, 10 book chapters, 75 awards, 41 published abstracts and 5 patents.
