L2 Engage! Facilitation 101 (SELECTIVE)

Facilitation is both an art and science which can be shaped and improved with practice. Using different learning strategies, an effective facilitator will empower learners to capitalise on their knowledge in search of solutions to problems. Learners can look forward to being actively involved through collaborative learning and demonstrating several established facilitation strategies.

Learning Objectives

This planning workshop is part of the Level 2 Advanced Educators Workshops, designed to help interprofessional educators develop advanced competencies in the ENGAGE! Domain.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Define the major roles of a facilitator
  • Demonstrate and apply different facilitation strategies for various settings
  • Develop strategies to manage difficult learners
  • Develop a plan to implement learning from workshop

Measurable Outcome

Participants will be able to apply various facilitation strategies during large and small group teaching.
