Don't just sleep on it – Find out the secrets to overcoming insomnia and achieving more restful nights for yourself!
Difficulty staying asleep through the night; constantly counting down the hours to sunrise or feeling tired even after you're awake – These are some common symptoms of sleep disorders.
At this session, Clinical Psychologist Dr Soon Siew Peng from Changi General Hospital will explain more about one of the common sleep disorders, insomnia. She will also touch on:
Towards the end of the session, there will also be a short sharing about the GPFirst Programme, a national programme that encourages the community to seek the first point of medical care at a general practitioner (GP) for mild to moderate conditions.
This programme is suitable for those aged 50 and above, and is organised in collaboration with National Library Board. Dr Soon Siew Peng is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with the Health Wellness Programme (ASCAT) at Changi General Hospital. She has over a decade of experience in psychology across clinical practice, teaching, supervision and research. She provides psychological therapy to patients with a broad range of psychiatric conditions and is involved in the development and delivery of mental health training programmes, to upskill healthcare professionals within SingHealth and the eastern region of Singapore.
