In Singapore, falls account for 85% of all trauma seen in older patients at the Emergency Department (SAFE Study 2017). When we get older, the risk of falling increases. Falls in seniors can result in long hospital stays, expensive surgeries, and loss of independence. Hear from Senior Staff Nurse Penelope Ng as she shares tips on how you can prevent falls and reduce its severity.
This talk is brought to you by Changi General Hospital Community Nursing and Our SilverCare Hub in collaboration with National Library Board.
