Monthly Research Seminars by Surgery ACP Research Office

The research seminars which will be held on the 4th Thursday of every month, aim to identify the missing gap in the current processes for grant applications and reporting as well as to provide a platform to guide attendees and strengthen their research. The structure of the seminars will be similar to the PhD Graduate Seminars. Presenters would be required to share about their research updates and/or grant application and be critiqued by their peers and mentors. The duration of the presentation is dependent on the grant quantum.

  • Grant applicants are required to present 2 months before the grant call deadline
  • Grant awardees are required to present their updates for their progress/final report 2 months before the reporting deadline
  • The above is applicable for the following examples:
• Nurturing Clinician Researcher Scheme (NCRS) applications :
- To present by Feb (for application in Apr) and Aug (for application in Sep)
• SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medicine (AM) Research Grant Applications:
- To present by Jul
• National grants (if required)

*Please note that the list is non-exhaustive*

All Surgery ACP members are welcomed to sit in for the seminars.
