Genetics Service, KKH, is set to commemorate Rare Disease Day on 28 February 2025, under the recurring theme 'Supporting the Rare with Hope'. The event will take place at KKH Auditorium, featuring these segments:
Presentations by invited speakers focusing on therapeutics and patient transition from paedatric to adult clinic
Interactive patient sharing
This year's Rare Disease Day celebration aims to engage healthcare professionals, patients, and families as the target audience. Beyond increasing awareness about rare diseases, we hope to address the stigma and prejudice our patients with special needs faced.
The event will take place in a hybrid format, facilitating attendance both in person and through Zoom participation. Within the auditorium foyer, interactive game booths will provide an educational experience, shedding light on rare diseases in an engaging manner.
