Ms Asila Alia Senior PhysiotherapistPhysiotherapy Department, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital Ms Asila is a Senior Physiotherapist at the Rehabilitation Department at KKH. She completed her Masters in Advanced Paediatric Physiotherapy from the University College London. Her clinical areas of work are primarily in paediatric neurorehabilitation and paediatric respiratory care. She has a keen interest in interprofessional education and was recently awarded the Singhealth AHP Young Educator Award. In addition to being a key team member in several multidisciplinary services, she assisted to develop the allied health interdisciplinary training programme in paediatric neurorehabilitation for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech-language therapists as part of the Paediatric Integrated Neuro-rehabilitation Service (PINS) programme.
Ms Leo Wei Zhi Principal Speech TherapistSpeech Language Therapy Service, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital Ms Leo is a registered speech therapist and has been working in KKH since 2017. She works closely with children with paediatric feeding difficulties, aged 0-18 years old, and supports them and their families through their feeding journey. She leads the feeding team within the Speech Language Therapy Service, and is involved in education and training within and outside of the team.
Ms Melissa Yeong Senior Occupational TherapistOccupational Therapy Service, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital Ms Yeong has been working as an Occupational Therapist in KKH since 2009, and is also a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. As an Occupational Therapist, Ms Yeong works closely with children and their families to help them prevent, reduce or overcome the effects of the disabilities through the use of meaningful activities. She is passionate in the area of seating and positioning, and runs the seating clinic at the KKH Rehabilitation Centre. She also works closely with the Children’s Pain Management Clinic to support children, adolescents and families in the management of different chronic and complex pain conditions. Ms Yeong is also involved in education and research and has presented talks and posters both locally and internationally.
