Understanding Osteoporosis & Osteoarthritis is a virtual health talk launched by SKH Community Health Post. Osteoporosis is a condition where the bones in the body get thinner and weaker, increasing risk of bone fractures. There are no signs or symptoms in the early stages of osteoporosis. It is usually identified through health screening or when bones break.
Osteoarthritis develops when the joint tissues break down over time. This leads to pain and walking difficulties as the bones rub against each other. As we age, there is an increased risk of developing osteoporosis or osteoarthritis or both.
In this talk, participants will be able to:
Better understand what is Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis
Know the ways to prevent development of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis
Gain insights into possible treatment plans for Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis
