Our Brand Story
The SingHealth Duke-NUS Innovation Centre branding is inspired by the metamorphosis process and the Harvard Business Review Article on the Hard Truth about Innovative culture.The two halves of the butterfly (left half with a realistic version and the right half with the creative side) represent the paradoxical forces at play in an innovating organisation. For the butterfly to emerge from its chrysallis and take flight, there is a need to strike a balance between encouraging experimentation with instiling a rigorous discipline as well as between allowing failures and ensuring competence. For the projects that pass through TIC doors, we want to incorporate the best of both perspectives, allowing our partners an enriching and successful experience.
