Dr. Hartanto is a research fellow at National Dental Centre Singapore who is actively engaging in cutting-edge digital dentistry projects. His expertise lies in the development and integration of advanced techniques such as artificial intelligence, computer vision, and computational geometry into various healthcare projects, including the generation of personalised 3D removable partial dentures. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore, where he conducted research under the guidance of Professor Leow Wee Kheng. Driven by a passion for improving surgical outcomes, his doctoral thesis focused on the development of a subject-specific 3D human knee joint motion model that is applicable for routine pre-operative planning. Dr. Hartanto's research spans a broad spectrum of disciplines within Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Deep/Machine Learning. He has great interests in multidisciplinary research topics with a particular emphasis on those that intersect Computer Science and Healthcare, such as surgical planning, minimally/non-invasive personalised treatments, and predictive cares.
