Profile

Dr Ethan Ng is an Associate Consultant in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the National Dental Centre Singapore (NDCS) and is a Dental Specialist in Periodontology in the Periodontics Unit.

He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2015. Following two years of hospital and polyclinic rotations as a Dental Officer, he began post-graduate residency training and was awarded the NDCS Residency Training Programme Scholarship. In 2021, he completed the Master of Dental Surgery (Periodontology) at the National University of Singapore. The same year, he was also successful in the Membership examination in the Specialist Dental Practice discipline of Periodontics, with the Royal Australasian College of Dental surgeons. Dr Ng completed his 6-year specialist training in Periodontology at the National Dental Centre Singapore in 2024 and is a Singapore board certified periodontist.

Besides clinical work at NDCS, Dr Ng is actively involved in research to further his field. He has published several articles in internationally peer-reviewed journals and received several publication awards. Dr Ng believes in comprehensive treatment planning with shared treatment targets to maximally improve a patient’s quality of life, in the least invasive manner possible.
