Dr Evelyn Wong is an Associate Consultant who practices at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Changi General Hospital. She completed her post-graduate certification with a Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) (Edinburgh) and a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) (MMed) from the National University of Singapore. She completed her specialist training at National Cancer Centre Singapore and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
Dr Wong's subspecialty interests includes upper gastrointestinal cancers, hepatobiliary cancers and lower gastrointestinal cancers. She is also a founding member of the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Services at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. She aspires to use translational research studies to improve the outcomes of oncology patients.
Dr Wong also has an interest in Global Health and Health Policy. She participates activity in the global community, having worked with communities in Chennai (India), Kathmandu (Nepal), Yunnan (China) and Mae Na Chon (Thailand). She was a founding member and Director of Seeds of Nations Pte Ltd (2013-2017), a corporation focused on global community projects. She is currently a Trainer at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute. Dr Wong is also active in teaching Senior Residents, medical officers, and medical and nursing students. She has received accolades for her educational efforts including Resi-dency in Singhealth Excels Inspiring Resident Educator Award 2020 and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Medical Society Outstanding Tutor Award 2018.
