Dr Farah graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She completed her Ophthalmology residency training in Singapore and was appointed as Lead Resident of SNEC Ophthalmology Residency Programme in 2021, and Head of Welfare & IT, Residents Committee in 2019. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), and received a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology (M Med) in 2020. As a keen educator, she is passionate in teaching medical students, junior residents and nurses. She was recognised for her efforts and was appointed as SingHealth Associate in Education and Programme Lead, Optometry Training, as well as Clinical Instructor in SingHealth Duke-NUS Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Academic Clinical Programme (EYE ACP).
Dr Farah's research interests include age related macular degeneration (AMD) and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV), two very important blinding conditions in Singapore. She is actively involved in clinical trials for these conditions as a co-investigator.
