Dr Mabel Tan is a Consultant with the Department of Renal Medicine at Changi General Hospital (CGH). She graduated from the National University of Singapore Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2014 and completed Internal Medicine training with SingHealth in 2019. In 2021, Dr Tan obtained the Outstanding Resident Award at the Residency in SingHealth Excels (RISE) Awards, and completed her Senior Residency training in Nephrology in 2022.
Dr Tan has a keen interest in medical education and quality improvement, serving as Teaching Faculty at the Nanyang Technological University Lee Kong Chian Medical School and a Clinical Instructor at the Duke-NUS Medical School. She is also actively involved in SingHealth Residency Programmes, teaching at the Internal Medicine Residency Programme and the Post-Graduate Year 1 (PGY1) Programme. Her dedication to medical education was recognised with the Outstanding Faculty Award from the Residency in Singhealth Excels (RISE) in 2024.
Dr Tan’s areas of clinical interest include peritoneal dialysis, chronic kidney disease and palliative care.
