Dr Neo Ghim Hoe is a Consultant, Orthopaedic Surgeon at Sengkang General Hospital. He graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School in 2012 after earning his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering with First Class Honours in 2008.
Following his graduation, Dr Neo pursued further specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery. In 2018, he was honored with the “SingHealth Outstanding Resident Award” in recognition of his exceptional academic and clinical performance throughout the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Programme. He completed his residency training and was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2022.
Dr Neo specialises in spinal surgery, having trained under the esteemed Professor Daniel Chan. He has also received additional sub-specialty training both locally and internationally from distinguished experts, enhancing his surgical practice. His primary focus is on minimally invasive surgery, particularly endoscopic (key-hole) spinal procedures. A proponent of motion preservation techniques, he actively seeks to advance the field of spinal surgery to improve patient outcomes and functionality post-surgery.
Dedicated to evidence-based clinical practice, Dr Neo is actively involved in research and has presented his findings at numerous international and local conferences. He is passionate about providing patient-specific treatment models and maintains proficiency across the full spectrum of surgical skill sets to ensure optimal care for his patients.
