Dr Geetha was working under the Ministry of Health in Oman for 16 years and left as a Specialist in 2008. She joined the Department of Neonatology at KK Women's and Children's Hospital in October 2008. She commenced her Advanced Specialist Training in Paediatric Medicine in May 2011 and had successfully exited in May 2013. Soon after that she was enrolled into the Advanced Training in Neonatology and exited successfully in July 2014, thus obtained dual certification in Pediatrics and Neonatology. She was promoted as Senior Consultant with effect from November 2022. She became a Fellow with the Academy of Medicine Singapore since 30 April 2018. She is actively involved in the teaching of undergraduate medical students from all the institutions. She also does examiner duties for the students from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She is actively involved in service improvement delivery, teaching and management. She is appointed as the physician faculty member for sing health pediatric residency programme with effect from January 2017. She mentors medical students during their electives.

She runs a clinic for late preterm babies once every 2 weeks. She follows up on all these babies till they reach 2 years of life. Her main interest is to assess for developmental delays and their nutrition and growth. She also runs a neonatal jaundice clinic.
