Art Therapy - What is it for

Art therapy is a type of psychological treatment that uses visual art making within a therapeutic relationship to help patients with mental health problems, emotional challenges and other psychiatric conditions. Art therapy can be used to improve and inform physical, mental and emotional well-being.

It is a recognised and regulated profession around the world by organisations such as the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK and ANZATA in the Australia and New Zealand.
