Coronary Atherectomy - What is it for

​Coronary atherectomy is a specialised method of percutaneous coronary intervention particularly useful for hard, calcified long artery blockages. It reduces a coronary artery narrowing through the cutting and removal removal of obstructive plaque and helps to improve result of balloon angioplasty or coronary stent implantation.
