Anastrozole is a medicine that is used to treat breast cancer in post-menopausal women. It helps to reduce the amount of estrogen, a hormone produced by your body.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
Anastrozole is contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are or intend to get pregnant, or breastfeed.
Avoid alcohol as it may make you feel more tired and drowsy.
If you miss a dose of Anastrozole, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take two doses at the same time.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
