Ceritinib

• Nausea and vomiting
• Decreased appetite
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Decreased red blood cell counts
• Tiredness and lack of energy
• Increased blood sugar levels

Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:

• Sudden onset of cough, chest pain or shortness of breath with fever
• Yellowing of the skin or eyes or tea-colored urine
• Frequent thirsts, urination, giddiness and feeling hungry
• Slow or abnormal heartbeat
• Unusual weakness, tiredness, light-headedness or dizziness
• Severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea

• Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you
• Have any other medical conditions e.g. diabetes, heart disease
• Are taking any other long-term medicines or supplements
• Use effective birth control during treatment and after completing treatment for at least:
• 3 months (for men)
• 6 months (for women)
  Inform your doctor if you plan to get pregnant or suspect that you are.
• Do not breastfeed during and for 2 weeks after completion of treatment with Ceritinib. Inform your doctor if you intend to breastfeed.

​Avoid taking grapefruit and its juice when you are on this medicine.

​Ceritinib is to be taken by mouth once daily. Take the exact number of capsules as advised by your doctor. It should be taken on an empty stomach i.e. at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal, unless otherwise instructed by your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Ceritinib, take it as soon as you can if it is within 12 hours of the missed dose. If it is past 12 hours since your missed dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual dosing time. Do not double the dose.

​If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.

Do not chew, open or crush the capsule.
