Megestrol is a medicine that is used to treat breast cancer and endometrial cancer. It is sometimes used to treat other kinds of cancer.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
Megestrol is a tablet, to be taken by mouth. Take the exact number of tablets as instructed by your doctor.It may be taken with or without food. Swallow with a glass of water.
If you miss a dose of Megestrol, take it as soon as you remember if it is within a few hours of your missed dose. If it is too near to your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual dosing time. Do not double the dose.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
