You have been prescribed with:

Salbutamol 100mcg Inhaler (200s) (Reliever)

Fluticasone Propionate 50mcg Evohaler (120s)

Fluticasone Propionate 125mcg Evohaler (120s)

*Seretide® Evohaler 25/50mcg (120s)

*Seretide® Evohaler 25/125mcg (120s)


*Each metered dose contains: 25 micrograms of salmeterol and 50 or 125 micrograms of fluticasone propionate

Use metered-dose inhalers with a spacer, whenever possible, for better drug delivery.

Directions for use: Pictures:
    1) Remove cap from the inhaler. Hold inhaler upright and shake well (refer figure 1).
    2) Before using for the first time or if the inhaler has not been used for several days, release two puffs into the air to prime it and make sure it works. The inhaler is now ready for use
    3) Breathe out gently as much as you can (refer figure 2).
    ​4) Put mouthpiece between teeth without biting and close lips to form a good seal. Start to breathe in through the mouth and press down firmly on the canister (refer figure 3). Continue to breathe in deeply.
    5) Hold breath for about 10 seconds or as long as comfortable. While holding breath, remove inhaler from mouth (refer figure 4). Then breathe out gently away from mouthpiece.
    6) If repeated doses are needed, wait 1 minute then repeat steps 1 to step 4 accordingly.
    7) Clean mouthpiece with a dry tissue and replace the cap to prevent dust from entering

Special instructions:

  • Rinse or gargle with water after using the controller inhaler to prevent oral thrush.
  • If both controller and reliever are required to be used at the same time, always use the reliever (salbutamol) first.
  • You should keep a record of the number of doses you have used up to ensure that you have sufficient amount of this medication before your next doctor’s appointment. For Seretide®, there is a dose counter on the inhaler.
