​​Leelawathy D/O Subroyan, Principal Enrolled Nurse, Department of Endoscopy, SKH, is a recipient of this year’s Nurses’ Merit Award. Amidst a distinguished assembly of 150 recipients, Ms Leelawathy feels proud as a recipient of an award that holds profound significance for her remarkable 35-year career. Looking back at her experience, she said that she has witnessed significant changes in the field of nursing and receiving this award encourages her to continue adapting to the evolving environment to provide better care to patients. Working in SKH endoscopy department, she also shared that it is gratifying to see patients recover and return home, and having the opportunity to make a positive difference in their lives inspires her to keep going and giving her best. Established in 1976, the Nurses’ Merit Award is given out to those who have excelled in nursing practice and provided exceptional care.
