Launched in March 2025, SPARKI (SingHealth Polyclinics Patient Assistant for Resources, Knowledge and Information) is a chatbot housed on SingHealth Polyclinics' website and is designed to provide patients with answers to common clinic and health-related queries around the clock.
Specialised Support for Musculoskeletal Conditions
Patients experiencing common musculoskeletal conditions, such as pain from the neck, lower back, shoulder, or knee can utilise SPARKI's symptoms checker to learn more about their conditions. SPARKI can guide users to access helpful self-management resources where appropriate, including information on home exercises to ease their discomfort. Through targeted questions and response analysis, SPARKI can also advise if the symptoms require further assessment by a doctor. While it currently focuses on musculoskeletal pain assessments, more conditions will be progressively added.
Preventive Care and Health Resources
Beyond condition-specific guidance, SPARKI promotes preventive care by recommending appropriate screenings based on a user's submitted profile. Users can check if they are suitable for cardiovascular and cancer screenings, vaccinations, smoking cessation, and weight management - based on their age, medical conditions, and family history. In addition, SPARKI offers comprehensive information about Healthier SG.
Clinic Information Made Easy
One can also find answers to clinic-related queries such as opening hours, appointment bookings, consultation charges, types of immunisation services available and more. This will help patients to better prepare for their visits and enjoy a seamless experience at our polyclinics.
Continuous Learning and Development
We strive to progressively include more conditions and information within SPARKI to value-add to our patients and empower them with greater access to resources and information.
However, SPARKI is not meant to replace professional advice. In the event of a medical emergency, always seek immediate medical attention or visit the A&E Department.
Available 24/7, SPARKI represents a significant step forward in digital healthcare, offering patients a convenient way to understand more about their health concerns.
SPARKI's key features: Get guidance on symptoms and conditions, health screenings, preventive care, and clinic services
As healthcare continues to evolve in the digital age, SPARKI aims to empower patients, optimise healthcare resources, and foster a more proactive approach to personal health management.
