A stroke happens when there is a disruption in blood flow supply. Assoc Prof Deidre Anne De Silva, Head and Senior Consultant, NNI @ SGH Campus explained that a mini stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) is different from a full stroke as the blood flow to the brain is only disrupted temporarily, and the patient could recover fully once the blood flows before any permanent damage occurs.
