Dienogest - Dosage and How to Use

How should Dienogest be used?

Visanne® may be started on any day of the menstrual cycle. Other hormonal treatments should be stopped before initiation of Visanne®.

Visanne® is administered orally as one tablet daily without any break, taken preferably at the same time each day, after food. Tablets must be taken continuously without regard to menstrual bleeding. When a pack is finished, the next one should be started without interruption.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. If you remember a missed dose at the time of your next dose, omit the missed dose and take only your regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed one.

If vomiting and diarrhea occurs within 3 – 4 hours after taking a tablet, the tablet may not be absorbed. It is considered a missed dose and should be replaced by another tablet.
